Indexed Annuities are long term investment products offered by Insurance companies to directly compete with some of the more aggressive investment vehicles in the marketplace. They are indexed against a number of things like the DOW, or S&P 500, etc. The beauty of Indexed Annuities is they are indexed against the market but they are not tied to the down side of the market. So when the market goes up they go up. But when the market goes down they stay level. Then if the market goes up again they go up again. ALL the up side potential but ZERO down side risk. You NEVER loss any of your investment money. Typical returns are between 7% - 10% but some returns can be even higher. Casper Stockham 303 337-9432 casper@fiveringsteam.com

Understanding the Rule of 72 is the best place to start when it comes to How Money Works. Simply put the rule of 72 determines how fast your money doubles in any given period. If you have an investment growing at 1% a year your money would double every 72 years. If you have an investment that is growing at 10% a year it would double every 7.2 years. Keep in mind current inflation is just under 3% so any investment you are making needs to do better than that or you are losing money. The trick or game is to keep your money in places that out perform inflation and double as often as possible. So where is the best place to put your money in today's economy? if you want the safest and best return the best place to invest long term would be Indexed Annuities. They have ALL the up side potential of the S&P 500 with NONE of the down side risk. Of course Mutual Funds are good as well but they come with a risk factor. Just ask the folks at Enron or Qwest. You can also invest in Private Equity Funds or Hedge Funds but they also carry a huge risk factor.
